CORE Systems™:

The Fleet CORE Atom expands the unique design features and small size of the Fleet CORE product series with a lower power Intel ATOM Z510 processor. The design maintains the high integration of thermal, electrical, and mechanical components. The careful design and component selection, along with this thermal integration offers a new level of performance to power consumption ratio while still designed for operation in severe environments.

Hardware:
The Fleet CORE Atom can be used as a central server, a stand-alone CPU, or a remote terminal. A full complement of I/O is provided: USB, DVI, serial and digital I/O ports. Additional functionality can be implemented via expansion cards in the PC/104-Plus, Mini PCI, and Mini PCI Express form factors.

Long term reliability is at the core of our design philosophy. The Fleet CORE Atom incorporates field-proven Octagon Hedgehog© power supply technology, providing superior protection from the severe transients common in mobile power systems. It rejects load dumps, repeated transients and over-voltage. The unique thermal design and industrial grade components allow fanless operation over a –30°C to 70°C range.

Applications:
The Fleet CORE Atom excels in demanding applications like police, trucking, emergency vehicles, mesh networks and other applications where the cost of failure is unacceptably high.

Operating System:
The Fleet CORE Atom is a fully-developed platform designed to accelerate your design process. It can be supplied with Windows XPe or Linux installed.

The 8649/WINXPe comes pre-loaded with a 4GB industrial compact flash card imaged with Windows XPembedded (license included). All that is required to boot the system is a power cable part number 8213, an 8-36VDC@11W(max) power supply, a USB keyboard & mouse, and a DVI monitor.
